Bursting with pride in our home country of Wales, we have developed our Calon Lân Candle featuring the lyrics of Calon Lân atop an engraving of the Welsh dragon that you can pop on top of your favourite signature candle. The bamboo lid makes storage and safekeeping of your candle a breeze, and fills you with thoughts of home – no matter where in the world you are lighting the candle.
The lyrics of the song translated into English:
“A pure heart full of goodness;
Is fairer than the pretty lily;
None but a pure heart can sing;
Sing in the day and sing in the night.”
You can choose from any of our signature and unusual candles, all of which are hand-poured in our studio in Carmarthenshire. Our Welsh candles use a natural coconut and rapeseed waxes and cotton or linen wicks to ensure a clean burn for over 45 hours.
We’ve selected these materials for their eco-credentials, which is a deciding factor in all packaging decisions as well – we don’t use any plastic in our packaging and we plant a tree with every order through our partnership with Ecologi. Packaged in a lovely white box and ribbon which I was not expecting, saved me wrapping. The finish was lovely, I chose the bluebell scent from a review given by someone else claiming this to be amazing. Although it smelt nice I didn’t get much from it that made me go wow. However the appearance really did it for me.
